From August 8th to August 10th, 2014 the city of Toronto gathers in GreekTown on the Danforth each year to celebrate Canada's largest street festival. In its 20th year, the Pilaros Taste of the Danforth will welcome more than 1.3 million attendees. With title sponsor Pilaros International Trading Inc., a leading importer of Mediterranean food products, and the 200,000 residents of Greek ancestry (the third largest Hellenic community outside of Greece) everyone in Danforth will feel Greek!

When the festival began in 1994 there were only 23 restaurateurs and about 5,000 visitors. Today the festival has grown into quite an event in Danforth spanning Broadview to Jones Avenue of food, entertainment and culture, sharing a 'taste' of what the Danforth area has to offer year-round. Produced and presented by the GreekTown on the Danforth BIA the event will host multiple stages of music, comedy, dancing and entertainment. There will be games and fun zones for children and the young at heart. Did we mention the contests, prizes and beer garden? But the core of the Pilaros Taste of the Danforth is the food, the streets will be lined with tasting tables representing an eclectic mix of ethnic cuisine.
